About

We have stood behind the desk on the bad nights

Hospitality Growth Advisors was founded on a simple frustration: owners kept paying for reports that described their venue back to them and stopped short of changing anything.

Our team comes out of general management, head-chef and beverage leadership across independent restaurants, cocktail bars, bistros and specialty coffee groups. That background decides how we work — we spend the first weeks on the line and in the accounts, not in a boardroom.

We take a small number of engagements at a time so that a senior advisor is genuinely present throughout, and we measure ourselves on the same numbers our clients report to their boards.

Our approach

Four steps, every engagement

A typical engagement runs six to twelve weeks. Here is the shape of it, from first conversation to the follow-up check.

  1. 01

    Read the venue

Two to three weeks on the floor and in the accounts. P&L, roster, supplier invoices, POS data, reviews and a walk of every service.

  2. 02

    Name the number

Every finding carries a dollar figure and an owner. If we cannot size it, we do not put it in the report.

  3. 03

    Sequence the work

Ranked by cash impact against effort, with a named first ninety days. Twenty priorities is the same as none.

  4. 04

    Stay until it holds

We train the managers who will run it after we leave, and we come back to check the numbers held.

Principles

  • We work for the owner, never for a vendor commission.
  • No engagement starts without access to the real numbers.
  • Guest experience is a P&L line, not a soft value.
  • If the recommendation cannot survive a short-staffed Friday, it is wrong.
